As an obsessed person who loves sending out newsletters and writing on online platforms that pay to write, I used to be quite eager to save for old age.
When I tell older people, that I am a digital writer, I can tell by the look on their faces that many are thinking the same thing: What about retirement?
Only a few have the courage to ask.
I have to admit that this question used to give me a lot of anxiety. The reality is that I have no retirement plan. I don’t care either. At least I don’t need it.
This thing of working hard for 40 years or more, and having enough money to never work again when I reach old age bothers me.
Retirement is not a race or marathon as many paints it
Like many of my generation, I love what I do, do what I love, and could never imagine not doing it.
I can’t believe I will be working 80 hours a week when I am 88 years old in Sicily, Italy, but I definitely don’t intend to be out of work.
