It has always been obvious that finances are fun.
I realized that most people feel that finances are actually something dull, boring, and even anxiety-inducing. This made me a little inspired to write about it.
Most people think that finance is — a bill to pay, a difficult choice where you have to choose between two options (where you might want both but can’t afford them), an unexpected expense, or an obstacle to something you would like.
Believe me, you find economics boring if all your interactions are reactive. It’s as if someone’s finances are keeping you on a leash and it’s never fun.
Imagine if the economy wasn’t boring. What if your finances were boring?
Because imagine if economics could be about:
The doctrine of getting what you want in life
Being the brush with which you paint your life?
Teaching us to spend money on what we love
Use the money to make ourselves and others happy
Give us more choices and opportunities in life
Then comes the exciting question, “What would then be possible?”
