Saying No to Society Is the Most Realistic Way to Live Well Without Worrying About Money
Here’s how not to lose money for nothing.
When I used to invite friends out, it was a cost trap that got extremely deep into my wallet.
I often invite friends over to my house and we can have a barbecue. You can also cook for friends and enjoy a good meal.
By the way, you are not tied to restaurant hours and you can also push all night and pull a conversation that makes your day better.
After taxes and groceries, we lose money for nothing by always saying yes to people and to our desires.
Learn to say no
One of the most important things in life that I learned from a pretty young age is how to use the word “no”.
If someone forces you out of the situation to answer questions, requests, or requests with “yes”. As if by magic, you are tempted to say “yes,” even though you don’t actually have the will, time, or nerves to do so.
Even today I allow myself the temptation to say a forced “yes”. Once you start answering no to things, that’s when all the fun begins.
People look at you strangely and wonder what is wrong with you, it starts with wanting to go to a bar on the weekend and get drunk.
A weekend is good and fun, but the same thing over and over again? My circle of friends and acquaintances now knows me very well.
Say no to status symbols
You will have plenty of money if you do this.
Probably the hardest thing of all for most is to abstain from the battle of status symbols. It was pretty easy for me because I never felt the desire to possess status symbols.
Of course, I could not completely get rid of it, sunglasses, an 8-karat gold chain, or an iPhone 8S Plus came into my hands. Here, however, it should be distinguished that these items have an essential use.
Of course, in retrospect, it would be a shame to sell these things. I will keep them for the next few years and no longer need to buy new sunglasses and a new smartphone.
A good 3 years ago I would have bought a new iPhone or iPad, but now I don’t care. The benefits and functionality are much more important to me now.
If at some point my iPhone 8S Plus doesn’t meet my needs because I also use it as a work device, it will be replaced by a newer and better smartphone. It will probably serve me well for another 3 years.
Simplicity makes you money to spare
The simpler my daily life is, the easier life as a whole is. Because most of life consists of everyday, routine, repetitive things.
For me, this means in concrete terms that I leave the house well groomed, but I don’t need to comb my hair to make it look perfect.
Besides, as a man, I don’t need to put on makeup, I take my lunch from home and therefore don’t need to leave the office, I can comfortably go to the break room and heat everything up in the microwave.
Everything is in order at home and I rarely have to look for the things I need at the moment.
The easier and more comfortable your daily life is, the more time and energy you can invest in your projects or secondary activities.
Don’t sell your time at any price. Say no to low-cost projects
When I dedicate myself to a project or job, I get into the habit of moving more quickly to the execution phase. And I dedicate myself only to the most profitable work.
In the past, I have found that you spend a lot of time thinking about your project and imagining all the possible scenarios.
Of course, a dose of planning and theory is extremely important for the success of a project or work, but you shouldn’t dive into this and forget about practical implementation.
Since I started actively thinking about getting into the implementation phase more quickly, a lot has changed. My business has grown correspondingly faster.
Put everything on autopilot
Anything that you can automate, you should automate.
If you can do the job just once and get paid every time, do it.
Other things, like email signatures with contact details or timers for the socket, can make life much easier.
In the coming decades, we humans will automate more and more of our daily lives, so that we will have to worry less about the routine.
And of course, automation makes you more time and money.
Society wants you to do something stupid with your money. Say no.
