We’re Trying to Get Rich the Wrong Way
Wealth means Being rich without being a millionaire or thinking about money?
My impression is that if the genie in the lamp granted the realization of a dream to each one of us, the vast majority would choose “to get rich.”
Well, considering that getting rich is such a strong desire of so many people, it is to be expected that by the 21st century, we would have learned the best way to achieve this goal, isn’t it? Well, that is where I think the problem might lie.
If we command our wealth, we shall be rich and free; if our wealth commands us, we are poor indeed. — Edmund Burke
Wealth is much more than having a good amount of money in your bank account. It is a lifestyle.
True wealth is much more related to freedom.
To you cultivating good relationships, be it with your spouse, with your children, with your friends.
And also to have good health.
You will never be truly rich if you don’t have all these areas of your life very well taken care of.
Obviously, I don’t mean that money is not important — quite the contrary.
Money is very important.
It is a means for you to have all these things.
With money, you can achieve your financial freedom.
You have much more freedom to be able to take care of the things that really matter.
You have a lot more time to take care of your relationships.
You have much more time, information, and financial means to take care of your health as well.
So money is very important as a means to provide you with everything that really matters.
